Time
‘Time’ is an abstract representation of an active destruction and disintegration of
both the concept and symbolism of time.
An automatic pendulum powered wrist watch, the ultimate symbol of measured
time and a feat of human genius, is carefully taken apart and dismantled.
Each stage is chartered, and each cog, screw and plate are noted.
By the end of the process one holds in their hands a set of items all crucial
in measuring time, yet all made redundant and dysfunctional.
Upon this realisation one is able to celebrate, if only for a moment, the destruction of time,
or at least our meaning of it.
