EID FLAGS
I worked with Rosetta Arts Emergency Exist Arts and co artist Aisha Naim to create a set of workshops to deliver a community co-created set of flags for Green Street’s lamposts. Aisha led adult workshops on Islamic geometries, patterns and symbolism, and I led a children’s workshop on south Asian foods, spices and memories. We combined the outcome in a kaleidoscopic celebration with the help of talented graphic designer and plant shop owner Sam Alexander Noble.
They were installed the night before Chaand Raat.
